Well it was only the Old School last night, with Andy, Graham, Paul and myself, but good games nonetheless.

Game 1
Sam Ahrimanes 2007 > Andy Saulot & Nergal > Paul Toreador Grand Ball > Graham Imbued

This started like a tournament game, with at least three players playing potential decks for Saturday. Grahams Imbued were slowed by my first turn Centralized Background Check – all those Flash Grenades cost 1 pool more. Andy bloated very well, getting both Saulot and Nergal in play, although his combat struggled against Pauls S:CE and my Carrion Crows and Aid from Bats. Graham bought out four minions, and was building up, when Paul moved forward with unblockable votes, which ousted Graham. Andy and I tried to stop the Toreador Juggernaut, but the pool gain and unblockable actions were too much and we both went down.

Game 2
Sam CEL Guns > Paul Cybele > Graham Tzim Bruise/Bleed > Andy Matata

Well there were various groans as I pulled out CEL minions, although there were equal groans as Matata made an appearance. There were then more groans, mostly from me, as Matata multirushed two of my minions into torpor. However the other two worked over Cybele with multiple Psyches, and sent her to Torpor with Fame on her. Graham could move forward, and got some bleeds in against Andy. However Andy got control of the game with a Dragonbound, and knocking a third minion of mine into Torpor. This meant I could not oust Paul, who was on 3 pool (two bleeds for 1, and Fame would have done it), and instead Andy ousted me, and then quickly after Paul. Graham tried to move forward, but Matata beat down every minion sent against him, and Graham conceeded.

We had blasted through both games, and were all done by 9:40, so we worked out the plans for Saturday.
