Well the first League Meet of 2008 happened, but with diminished numbers due to a few drops outs at the last minute. Oh well, can’t be helped, and hopefully next week we will be up to seven players or so.
Anyway there was only one game, so here it is.

Game 1

This turned out to be a very quick game, as I drew out Nehsi who put down Reckless Agitation unblockably with Horrific Countance. Having vote lock helped, with Voter Cap meaning Nehsi refilled each time. Graham went forward with Kindred Spirits, causing damage and gaining pool. Stevan bought out Joaquina who got a Talith for some reasonable combat, we also came across something Stevan wasn’t aware of – the Grouping Rule, as he bought out Kiradin. We carried on regardless, and Graham promised Stevan a set of group 2 Ravnos. Paul bought out Cybele, who gained Fortitude and then Called the Great Beast. The Great Beast arrived, and the Soul Gem went off as well gaining Paul some Setites. I struggled as there is no defence in my deck, so tried to do some damage backwards. However Stevan took a beating from Graham, so wasn’t going forwards, meaning that Paul could shrug off my damage. I was quickly ousted, while Graham moved through Stevan – blocking his attempts to get intercept. The game slowed a little, but Paul had the advantage mostly with the Great Beast – bleeding for 3, and hands for 4, and he went on to win.
