A Halloween themed meet this week, with four of us gathered to play. Paul had made up a card that started in play from the first turn. Here is the card text:

Game 1
Sam Jocks n Cheerleaders > Stevan FoS Recruit n Steal > Paul Anarch Necro Hordes > Andy OBF DEM Patients

A selection of horrors for the Jocks and Cheerleaders to beat their way through, although there wasn’t that much combat in the end. Stevan fully abused the Season, with Zhenga recruiting numerous allies, and then a selection of Entrancements stealing some more. Paul struggled to keep up, with Liquidations keeping him alive. Andy recruited Mental Patients, while bleeding forward with Kindred Spirits. I tooled up with Baseball Bats, Leather Jackets and Hellhounds, all of which helped keep me going. I tried to go forward with Walk of Caine, but Stevan recouped his losses with various allies being flung into Khobar Towers. The game timed out, even with Ambrosius tooled up with Talbots Chainsaw!

Paul Anarch Necro Hordes > Sam Asanbonsam Tzimisce > Stevan FoS Recruit n Steal > Andy Rafastio Ghoul Assault

A quicker game as everyone tried to go forward, Paul got his motor running with Hordes appearing, and this time he got to countersteal with Far Mastery. I got my wall of Ghouls up, and applied pressure on Stevan however he went forward into Andy who struggled with his quickly made deck. Andy was soon Ousted, and the game stabilised for a bit even with Tutu (stolen by Paul) tooled up with Talbots Chainsaw. However I kept going forward and Stevan crumbled under the pressure with Paul conceeding as I got my second Pulse of the Canaille.

A quick swap for me with Graham, but I am sure that will change next week.

Next week would normally be a Huntsman meet, but a couple of our original reasons for meeting there have changed – Nick has moved back to Greece, and Andy now has a car. So I am wondering if we should skip it, and just do a normal meet in Trowrbridge. If Kieran and Geoff prefer to meet in Bath then we can do, so they need to let us all know.

Either way next week could be a good opportunity to play the Black Miracles and Lies storyline. I don’t think it is worth trying to do a proper event for this as it is only for our own fun. So it will be two games, with the rules and extra cards, the winner decided by who gets the most vps/GWs in those two games. I will organise the cards for next week.
