When did you start playing V:TES?
I started playing in May 2002. I played WH40k with Sam and Steve at a local games club. Each week they would try and convince me to try this CCG called V:TES (I used to play Netrunner). One week they managed to. I first started out with a couple of Giovanni starter decks and built a powerbleed block denial deck. Took this to the UK ECQ in August of that year and ousted someone if my first big event, I was hooked. I then played around with the Ravnos a lot. I must have bought the rest of the Ravnos starters that were in print at the time!
Which is your favourite expansion and why is it your favourite?
Nights of Reckoning, it seems it will shift the meta game towards more interaction. It is an expansion that has made playing a lot more enjoyable for me.
What are your pet hates and/or things you would like to change about V:TES?
Decks that do not pack any intercept and irresponsible bleeding. I’m fine with having bleeds bounced into me, but please why boost it when your prey has an untapped DOM minion.
What are your best and worst moments while playing V:TES?
Best moment would be Cambridge ECQ in 2004 when I entered the finals as top seed, that was cool. Not sure on the worst moment.
What has been your favourite deck to play and why?
Ravnos red herring tap and bleed. It screws with peoples heads
What is you favoured deck type and/or play style?
I like Tap and Bleed and toolbox decks. In my play style I’m try to build up and lunge.
Which is your favourite vampire and why?
Not sure I have one. I pick the minions that fit the deck I’m currently building.
