Thoughts Betrayed

Pool GAIN

Ariadne
Clan: Gangrel (group 5)
Capacity: 8
Disciplines: ANI FOR PRO chi
Camarilla: Blood hunts cannot be called on Ariadne. She gains an additional blood when she successfully hunts.

and

Abactor
+1 Stealth Hunt Action
Gain 5 blood. After successful resolution, a referendum is called to call a blood hunt on this vampire (independent of the action, just as if he or she had committed diablerie).

So with this card Ariadne gains 6 blood, and ignores the Blood Hunt!!!
Seems pretty pokey, so what to do with it?

Sam

Evil on toast?

Start with this
Retain the Quick Blood
Type: Action
Requires: Celerity & Quietus
+1 stealth action.
[cel][qui] Put this card on the acting vampire. Blood this vampire spends to play cards that require Celerity or Quietus is placed on this card instead of the blood bank. During your untap phase, move 1 blood from this card to this vampire.
[CEL][QUI] As above, but move 2 blood from this card to this vampire during your untap phase.

Then follow with
Loss
Type: Action
Requires: Quietus
Cost: 1 blood
[qui] (D) Burn an equipment or location on a minion controlled by your predator or prey.
[QUI] (D) Bleed at +2 bleed.

Torrent
Type: Combat
Requires: Celerity
Cost: 2 blood
[cel] Additional strike.
[CEL] Strike: combat ends. If this vampire was blocked while performing an action, the action continues as if unblocked.

and

Resist Earth’s Grasp
Type: Action Modifier/Combat
Requires: Celerity
Cost: 1 blood
[cel] [COMBAT] Press, or maneuver with an optional press.
[CEL] [ACTION MODIFIER] +1 stealth.

A variety of combat options, heavy bleed and regain. All in two skills and four cards.

Head Above Water

So after my undeserved win last night with the rubbish mummies deck I’ve been pondering what a deck needs to achieve to get a win. I think it may be the following (but I expect we know this anyway):

1. Stay in the game
2. Do massive amounts of pool damage in as few actions as possible.
3. Stay under the radar. Do not look like a deck that can do 2.

So how do we achieve the above?

Panic Button?

So its all going wrong and you need a reset. How about:
Villein
Type: Master
Master: trifle.
Put this card on a vampire you control and move 2 or more blood from that vampire to your pool. Minion Tap cards cost an additional pool. Villein costs an additional pool to play on this vampire.

Take off everything, then with second Master action:

Golconda: Inner Peace
Type: Master
Master.
Choose a vampire with a capacity 8 or more. Remove that vampire from the game. His or her controller gains pool equal to the vampire’s capacity. His or her controller may cancel this card as it is played by burning 2 pool.

Full on abusive power!

Madness or Method

So it would seem like these two cards are a good pair:
Revelations
Type: Action
Requires: Auspex
Cost: 1 blood
+1 stealth action.
[aus] (D) Look at your prey’s hand. He or she discards a card of your choice.
[AUS] Put this card in play. Your prey plays with an open hand. Any minion may burn this card as a (D) action.

Precision
Type: Action
Requires: Celerity
+1 stealth action.
[cel] (D) Choose a card by name. Your prey must discard a copy of that card, if possible.
[CEL] As above, and if your prey discards a copy, this vampire may burn 1 blood to burn 1 of your prey’s pool.

Given you can see their hand, and then pull cards out of it. However is it better just to go for a big bleed with that information, or some combination of both…
